This former church is now called The Church, When I took the photo is was the Doghouse. The place is now a music venue along Ward Street. I could not tell you what the former church was.

Burford Methodist Chapel this one surprised as I thought it was a town house

St Thomas the Martyr in from along St Thomas Street in Oxford. It is a church I have yet to visit though I did have a quick peek inside before (I might add is quite beautiful) took this photo which is prompting me to return when I can

The Former St Mary's chapel from St Mary's school in Wantage Oxfordshire. The school which was an Independent school closed a few years before and was sold for development, the chapel you see is where they worshipped. The building was up for sale at the time and as far as I know is now a dental surgery

Think it is time I posted a photo of a church with a spire, this is St Peters Church in Wallingford taken from the bridge over the Thames. St Peters Spire is a landmark for the town.
I have visited and written a blog on the church which is looked after by the Churches Conservation Trust after closing many years ago.

Builth Wells Ecumenical Church
Alpha is believed to be the first Meeting House set up by Howell Harris in 1747. The building has been re-built twice since the fist impression, the current building dates back to 1903. In 2007 it became the main centre for worship for the Builth Ecumenical Church when the PCW, URC and Baptist Churches became one.

This weeks is a chapel called Capel Dwyran in the village of Dwyran on the Isle of Anglesey Wales, which is an Calvinistic chapel was built in 1861 to replace an earlier building of 1841 which itself replaced an 1814 chapel.

This weeks church is one of the few drive-bys I have taken which was when I was working in Berlin. The church is the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church which was in the process of having work done on it when I was there.

This weeks church is The Shrine of Our Lady St Mary of Glastonbury I have not had a chance to go inside though I did take a few photos through the glass door when I spotted the main doors open one day.

Greetings everyone, I should introduce myself, my name is Bill and I publish the Church Explorer blog I'm helping Sally out by publishing Inspired Sunday each week from now on.
I started blogging back in 2012 with a blog called My Grave Place. After a few years I realised that even though I took photos of headstones Churches were more of my interest so I decided on a name change and The Church Explorer came into being. The churches I feature tend to be from around Oxfordshire and Berkshire as that is where I am situated though I do tend to feature churches from Wales as I tend to go there quite often. We are loosing the churches in our country due to the lack of people attending services and I think that they are part of our history so I visit and record them so they do not get forgotten. I hope you visit my blog and check out what I do.
For the moment I have decided to leave the times InSPIREd Sunday is published as it is for now as this works and I hope you visit all the blogs featured. Each week I will publish a different church on InSPIREd Sunday that is part of my archive.
